A massive march worked its way through the streets around the White House on the 4th of November. This was the National March on Washington 4 Free Palestine, estimated by Twitter posters to be 100,000 strong or even more. Marchers demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the war.
As the march ended, a crowd lingered near the White House until cops pushed them back. Not far away, the McDonald's closest to the White House got graffiti and a smashed window. McDonald's is on the list of top US corporations targetted for boycotts by the BDS (Boycott/Divestment/Sanctions) movement for their involvement in Israel's apartheid regime.
